Alert@CSI

What is Alert@CSI?

Alert@CSI is a mass notification system that automatically sends emergency messages to your CSI e-mail account and/or to your phone. You’ll know immediately when there is an emergency, school closure, urgent situation or important deadline. Participation is voluntary. If you want this valuable service – free of charge – you must "Opt-In”.  You can Opt-Out at any time. Opt-In/Opt-Out at MyCSI.

How does Alert@CSI Work?

Opting in is voluntary, but you are strongly urged to opt-in and provide your personal contact information, as it may prove to be the most direct way to reach you in case of a campus emergency. Registration is simple through MyCSI and it only takes a minute.

  • Go to MyCSI
  • Log in with your Username and Password
  • Click Alert Options on main menu
  • Add your contact information
  • Click Next, review the terms and conditions, and then click Save
  • See how easy it is in the demo below!

For faculty and staff, when the college initiates an emergency message, we will automatically send an e-mail message to your CSI e-mail account.

For students, you will automatically receive an e-mail in your EagleMail powered by Google account.

Why should I opt-in?

During an emergency, this will be the most effective way for you to get up to the minute information on where to go or what do to.

Emergency and other urgent messages will be sent via the ALERT@CSI, and the system will not be used to distribute advertising or other unsolicited content. In the event of an active, major campus emergency, all College of Southern Idaho personnel should also check their e-mail accounts, the college website, and local media reports for other critical updates.

Enrollment in the ALERT@CSI program is free. However, you may be charged a message fee by your service provider if you have a phone plan that does not cover text messaging; consult your carrier to confirm.
ALERT@CSI is administered by members of CSI’s Emergency Response Team. To provide this service, the college has contracted with Send Word Now, a mass notification provider working with colleges and universities nationwide to support emergency communications plans.
