Welding & Metal Arts 4/22/2014
Time: 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Explore the technology of metal fabrication and welding to create a metal piece that will become something beautiful and durable. During this hands-on course, students will be introduced to various welding processes, basic welding techniques, grinding, metal cutting, and safety in order to create a finished project to take home at the end of the course. Use the 15 hours of shop time to flex your imagination as you learn to shape metal and other materials into a brilliant and unique creation. Students should come to class in clothes appropriate for welding such as jeans, leather shoes/boots, and long-sleeved shirt of canvas or cotton. Loaner helmets, safety glasses, and gloves will be provided to participants. Class size is limited to 10, so register early.
