Three new shows are now showing in the Faulkner Planetarium! Flight of the Butterflies - One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure - and Pink Floyd: The Wall!!
Flight of the Butterflies wings its way into the Magic Valley starting Tuesday, July 1st. This large format film, chronicling the life cycle and incredible migration of the iconic monarch butterfly, will be running in the Faulkner Planetarium at the College of Southern Idaho’s Herrett Center for Arts and Science. Flight of the Butterflies will run at 2:30 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8:00 pm on Tuesdays and 7:00 pm on Fridays starting July 1st.
Say hello to a Sesame Street adventure, One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure, opening Thursday, July 3rd. It’s time for the kids to use their imaginations as Big Bird, Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu explore the sky together from Sesame Street, China and the Moon! What could be more fun than a show that lets your kids interact and participate with their favorite Sesame Street characters? The show will run at 1:30 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays beginning Thursday, July 3rd.
The Faulkner Planetarium announces the opening of a new rock entertainment program Pink Floyd: The Wall beginning Saturday, July 5th. This is not the same show that ran at the planetarium in the past; it is all new to the audiences of south central Idaho, a true fulldome visual experience. Pink Floyd: The Wall features a whopping 66 plus minutes of music from Pink Floyd’s iconic concept album. Pink Floyd: The Wall will run at 8:00 pm Friday and Saturday nights beginning July 5th. Note: Due to mature content this program is not recommended for audiences under 13.
Admission prices are $6.00 adults, $5.00 seniors, $4.00 student, including CSI students with a valid student ID; children under age 2 are admitted free.
