The College of Southern Idaho’s Over 60 and Getting Fit Program encourages registrations for weekly sessions that begin soon. The class, offered at 10 southern Idaho sites, provides aerobic, strengthening and flexibility components specially designed for older adults. The class is free to students over the age of 60.
Interested students can register when they attend their first class. All classes begin on Monday, Sept. 8 except for Burley, Filer & Gooding. Burley classes will begin Tuesday, Sept. 9th and Gooding and Filer will start Monday Sept 22.
§ Twin Falls classes will be 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the CSI Gym.
Jerome classes will be 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Jerome Recreation Center.
Filer classes will be 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday and Wednesday, and Friday 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Filer Elementary School.
Buhl classes will be 10 to 10:50 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the 7th Street Gym.
Shoshone classes will be 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the gym in Shoshone’s old high school.
Gooding classes will be 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Gooding Rec Center
Burley classes will be 11 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the gymnasium at the CSI Mini Cassia Center.
Rupert classes will be 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Rupert Civic Gym.
Blaine County classes will be 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Rec Gymnasium at the CSI Blaine County Center.
Hagerman classes will be 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at the Hagerman High School gym.

Yoga: This course is designed for seniors who are interested in exploring classical yoga postures as well as the history and philosophy of yoga. Each class includes stretching, strengthening, and relaxation techniques. This class is designed for students age 60 and over. Fee required.
Weight Training for Seniors: This beginning strength and conditioning course is targeted towards increasing functional strength, balance, and flexibility in seniors. Students will learn proper form and how to safely participate and effectively manage a personal strength program. Fee required.
Zumba Gold: Zumba Gold® modifies the moves and pacing of Zumba® to meet the needs of the active older participant and those who desire a beginning-level dance-fitness class. Fee required.
Spinning for Seniors: Spinning for Seniors is a low-impact, aerobic exercise indoor group cycling course designed for active seniors. Fee required.
Pilates for Seniors: The Class incorporates a series of movement exercises to achieve a balanced and improved postural alignment. Workouts include stretching, toning, strengthening and breathing/relaxation activities. Fee required.
Tai Chi for Seniors: This class is based on the ancient Chinese system that uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve a healthy body while strengthening the cardiovascular and immune systems. Fee required.
The Zumba® Gold-Toning: This program combines the international rhythms of the Zumba Gold® program with the strength-training techniques of the Zumba® Toning program, creating an easy-to-follow, health-boosting dance-fitness program for the active older adult as well as beginners.
