Students in the Dental Assisting program at the College of Southern Idaho will join with the Idaho Dental Hygienists Association to hold a free sealant clinic for area children from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 14 at the Dental Clinic lab inside CSI’s Health Science building on North College Road in Twin Falls.
Dental sealant is a varnish-like substance that is painted onto the teeth that helps prevent cavities. Application is quick, painless, and effective. CSI Dental Assisting students will be joined by registered dental hygienists in applying the sealants. All procedures will be done under the observation of a supervising dentist who assists with the program. The clinic is free of charge.
The clinic is open to children from ages 5 to 18 and is first-come, first-serve – no appointments are necessary. Call 208-732-6708 with any questions.
