The 43rd annual CSI Ski Swap will kick off what organizers hope will be a great upcoming ski season in southern Idaho. CSI International Business students will oversee the sale of new and used winter gear from 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 in the CSI Rec Center.
Though it’s one of the oldest student-run events on the College of Southern Idaho campus, the Ski Swap took on a new look and feel a few years ago when it was taken over by the Business students and moved to the Rec Center from its longtime home in the CSI Expo Center.
Anyone who has skis, snowboard, boots, clothing, or other winter gear to sell is encouraged to bring it to the CSI Rec Center between noon and 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15. Students will check the merchandise in to the sale at an agreed price and then oversee the sale all weekend. A small commission for the Business Club will be taken on all equipment that sells. Whatever doesn’t sell can be claimed at the Rec Center from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18.
In addition to the used winter gear, vendors including Claude’s Sports, Idaho Water Sports, Sun Valley, Pomerelle, Soldier Mountain, and Magic Mountain ski resorts will be at the show. There will be hourly drawings for day passes, discounts, and other prizes.
Shoppers who want to take advantage of the best selection can buy Early Bird admission from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday for $5 per person. Admission prices for the rest of the show will be $2 per person.
