WRITING CAMP BY THE CABIN
Writing Camp in Twin Falls is a weeklong workshop for Idaho kids in grades 3-9. Camps are led by a professional teaching-writer from The Cabin who designs imaginative, hands-on creative writing enrichment. Throughout the week, students will encounter challenging prompts and write lots of new poems and stories. They’ll also receive in-depth comments from teachers and learn how to revise toward publication. At the end of camp, students share their writing at a public reading, and publish their work in The Cabin's end-of-summer print anthologies. REGISTRATION OPENS MARCH 1st. • Cabin Writers (grades 3-6) 9-Noon daily Discover how art, music, and nature inform your imagination. Learn to write stories and poems that are singular, creative and express the thoughts within. Experience writing outdoors, in an art museum, and more.
• Urban Ink (grades 6-9) 1-4 daily Explore campus and art to inspire your writing. Use your surroundings to ignite the elements of storytelling of poetry writing. Create super-alive writing rooted in observation of the world around you.
