Food Processing/Automation Engineering open house 5/17/2017
Time: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Food processing plants in southern Idaho are numerous and diverse, producing a wide variety of meat, vegetables, fruit, sugar, and dairy products. Gone are the days when working in the food industry simply meant standing at a conveyor belt all day.

The College of Southern Idaho’s Food Processing and Automation Engineering Technology programs invite everyone to an open house at their new lab in CSI’s Applied Technology building from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 17. CSI instructors will be available to answer questions and show visitors the exciting careers available locally in food processing and automation engineering and how CSI programs prepare students for those careers.

The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is necessary. Simply drop in when you can. Soft-serve ice cream samples will be available for all visitors. The Applied Technology building is located on the north side of campus along North College Road. It is recognizable by the wind turbines that are located next to it.
