What is the JET Program?Job Education Training (JET) is a short-rm job training program for eligible, low-income parents. Through short-term training, JET can help you obtain the skills necessary to get a job, get a better job, or prepare for a professional-technical training program. How Do I Know if I'm Eligible for JET? Call 732-6525. A JET staff person will answer any questions you may have about the program and help determine your eligibility. If you decide to join, you will be asked to complete a basic skills diagnostic test and schedule an appointment with a JET advisor. At that meeting, you and the advisor will develop a service plan for you based upon your goals. Whether getting a job, getting a better job, or brushing up on basic skills. What Classes Can I Take in the JET Program?
When and Where are the Classes Held? The majority of JET classes are held in the Academic Development Center, second floor of the Meyerhoeffer Building, located on the CSI main campus in Twin Falls. But training is not limited to just JET classes. You and your advisor will develop your Service Plan to balance your work and family needs with your selected training program. For more information contact Kim King in the JET office at (208) 732-6525 or send email to Kim King . |
