Campus Testing Center Policies

  • Students must begin testing one hour prior to closing excluding COMPASS.
  • PHOTO ID is required for all testing. A photo id includes any identification with a picture and a first and last name. Identifications accepted at the testing center include: drivers license, state id, military id, passport, resident alien id, workplace id, school id, credit or debit card with photo, or costco card with photo.
  • Books, papers, coats, backpacks, baseball caps, or other study materials are not permitted in the testing room. Purses must be closed and placed under the student's chair.
  • Scratch paper will be handed out by the proctor and must be turned in with the test.
  • No eating, drinking, smoking, gum chewing, etc. is permitted in the testing room.
  • Cell Phones, Pagers, and PDAs are not permitted in the testing room.
  • No student may sit by another student who is taking the same test.
  • Talking is not permitted in the testing room.
  • Children are not allowed in the testing center.
  • Cheating will not be tolerated. Those suspected of cheating will be asked to immediately hand in the test; the course instructor will be notified, and the test may not be taken without written permission from the instructor.
  • Plan Ahead - Students cannot leave testing area in the middle of a test. When closing hours are reached, all tests will be collected and considered complete.

Services are available for placement testing (COMPASS), VUE, CLEP, and CSI instructor testing. The Testing Center occasionally proctors exams from other in-state universities or colleges at no charge. There is a $10 administration fee charged for out-of-state schools and a $15 administration fee for private industry.
