Overview:

This course is designed for students with little or no computer experience. The survey format covers many different subject areas in one and two week sections.  Business, education, and other students needing to expand their computer skills have found this course useful.  Students needing to pass the CSI Computer Literacy examination will do so as part of this class.


Catalog Course Description:

An introductory course for students to develop skills in the business software found in Microsoft Office.  Projects include Internet research, document preparation, financial controls, database management, and large group presentations. Students are provided with critical-thinking opportunities and hands-on experience with computers.  CSI required Computer Skills Assessments are completed as part of this course.  There are no prerequisites.
