Interested in Teaching a Community Education Class?

Thank you for your interest and willingness to participate in the CSI "Quest for Excellence". As a comprehensive Community College, our instructional purpose is expressed in four different types of offerings: courses/programs for the individual interested in transferring to a four-year college or university; general education classes for personal development courses/programs in vocational-technical education for entry level employment and skill upgrading; and noncredit courses for self fulfillment and enjoyment.

Over the past 41 years, we have found that part-time instructors have been a valuable resource for providing both breadth and depth to the number of sections that can physically be taught, and in some instances the subject matter is better addressed by someone currently dealing with it in a practical manner. It has taken a great deal of preparation for you to become an expert in your own field of endeavor and in order to provide quality experiences for students enrolled in your classes, CSI requires that you become acquainted with the basics of good teaching practices so that you may share your talents in the best possible way.

Respectfully,
Sylvia Jensen
