Interests
An interest in agricultural chemicals evolved
into thesis research on pesticide degradation kinetics. This research incorporated
inorganic, analytical and biological chemistry and provided an understanding
for teaching Agricultural Chemistry, Introductory Chemistry, Introduction
to Organic and Biochemistry, and Qualitative Analysis Labs. These interests
have grown to include environmental chemistry and the development of a
new course with environmental, and consumer emphasis. Graduate studies in
Higher Education have included an administrative internship, and emphasis
on the applications of technology in science education.
Interests in the environment and outdoors also include
skiing, nordic skiing, backpacking, and whitewater rafting (and recently
whitewater canoeing) and includes part owner in
Riverat Whitewater Toyz
