CSI Radiologic Technology 4-Day Initial Training in Mammography Course for Technologists

This comprehensive course will provide the Initial training in mammography for radiographic technologists as required by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Perform diagnostic quality analog and digital mammography, and other breast imaging procedures.
  • Document patient assessment and history.
  • Meet the physical and psychological needs of the patient.
  • Assist physicians to perform image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures.
  • Apply knowledge and principles of radiation protection to achieve ALARA exposure techniques.
  • Apply knowledge and principles of universal precautions, aseptic and sterile technique.
  • Maintain manual and computerized patient, department and hospitals records.
  • Understand ACR/FDA accreditation practices and regulations.
  • Perform and document equipment Quality Control procedures according to MQSA guidelines.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT   This course is pending approval by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists for 35.5 continuing education credits.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations must be made in writing. To receive a full refund, cancellation must be made by June 7, 2012. A 50% refund may be obtained if cancellation is made by June 14, 2012.
Cancellations made after June 14, 2012 will not receive a refund. Sorry, there will be no refunds for no-shows.
