Testing Center Procedure For Students with Accessibility Issues

Anytime a student requests a testing accommodation, i.e., a reader, a scribe, or special equipment, the student wil lmake this request with Student Disability Serveices (SDS).

SDS will contact the testing center coordinator to setup a time when staff is available.

The Testing Center Coordinator will then reserve a room and then inform SDS of the time and location of the scheduled room and testing time.

This procedure needs to be followed to ensure that nay equipment needed for a test, such as CCTV or a computer, will be setup at least 15 minutes prior to the arrival of the student.

If the student is using a reader or a scribe, this service provider will need to check in with the testing center and will be given the room number for the test and will be instructed to wait for the student there.

When the student arrives, the scheduled proctor wil ltake two copies of the test and escort the student to the room. There, the proctor wil introduce the service provider and issue the test.
