In accordance with CSI's goals and critical success factors, the mission of the Faculty and Staff Development Committee is to provide increased opportunities for participation of all employees in staff development activities to enable faculty and staff to meet changing student and community needs, and utilize new technology.
Our goals for the 2010-2011 academic year are:
- Provide faculty and staff the opportunity to take advantage of training on teaching strategies, new technologies, and professional development issues
- Provide, or partner with CSI committees or other organizations to provide, major speakers and presentations on topics of interest to faculty, staff, and administration
- Organize, or partner with CSI committees or other organizations to organize recognition/appreciation events to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of CSI employees
- Encourage communication between departments to nurture a sense of community among all CSI employees
The Faculty & Staff Development Committee (FSDC) meets at 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month, September-November and February-April.
If your CSI committee has an idea for a project, send a representative to one of our regular meetings to discuss it.
