A unique opportunity for kids who are into
technology is coming
up
this summer at the College of Southern Idaho. The CSI Summer
Tech Camp will be an intensive, one-week learning experience
for students, ages 11 through 17.
The camp is offered by the
Instructional Technology Center in collaboration with
the Community Education Center.
Technology summer camps are in very high demand around the
nation for two main reasons: kids are fascinated by technology
and they enjoy learning about it, and parents like to see
their kids learn higher level skills that will help them in
school, at home, and in their future careers. The cost of
this camp is far less than camps offered in other areas around
the nation, yet the technology covered is state of the art
and the instructors are experts in their respective fields.
Training at the CSI Summer Tech Camp will include
hardware, web design and development, digital video and imaging,
3D animation, digital sound editing, video conferencing,
desktop publishing, and much more. Participants will
get tremendous hands-on experience, and a chance to meet
other kids with similar interests and have fun with technology.
Camp instructors will include:
- Library and Instructional
Technology Center Director Edit Szanto
- Web Programmer
and Developer II Cory Stone
- Web Programmer and Developer I Scott Henscheid
- Instructional Technology Specialist
Izabella Bagdasarova, and
- Instructional Technology
Technician Chika Daggett.
