CSI Tech Camp Frequently Asked Questions
The following are some answers to frequently
asked questions:
Q: What
do I need to bring to CSI Summer Tech Camp? |
| A: Interest
in technology and a willingness to learn! We provide
the technology, supplies, and food. You must
have all the forms signed and submitted by the first
day of camp. Each day after the first day, you will
be asked to bring with you your name tag and your binder. |
Q: What
do I do when I get there?
|
A: You
will have an opportunity to learn and gain hands-on
experience with a variety of technology applications,
software, and hardware. You will work individually
and in teams.
|
Q:
How much computer experience/skills
do I need? |
A: Participants
should have some Windows experience (know how to open
and close programs, save files, print files, and hopefully
have some Internet experience). The Tech Camp was designed
to meet the needs of participants with a wide range
of skills, abilities, and experiences. In the past,
we had participants who had limited experience with
computers and participants who were experts in certain
fields. Projects are designed to ensure that we do
not frustrate those who are novice computer users but
in the same time not to bore those who are intermediate
or even advanced users.
|
Q:
Is this TechCamp hands-on or solely
lecture-based? |
A: Although
we will do some lecturing, most of the learning will
happen through hands-on exercises and projects.

read the CSI Tech Camp Rules, CSI Computer Use Policy,
and Computer Lab Guidelines carefully. You
will be required to follow these rules.
|

A: The
CSI Tech Camp will offer an opportunity for participants
to learn about a variety of applications
