CSI – Student Freshman Senator Rosa Lopez was struck by a Jeep on Friday, Nov. 14 while crossing Washington Street at 9 a.m.  It is unknown if she was running late for a 9 a.m. class or not.

With no crosswalk between the Campus Park Housing driveway and the west side of the Twin Falls CSI campus, Lopez choose to cross Washington Street toward the campus. According to police records, while attempting to cross Washington Street, Lopez was hit by an oncoming car. A car had stopped to let Lopez cross the street, but the Jeep swerved to the right of the stopped car to pass it and struck Lopez
