Named for CSI's visionary founder, Dr. James Taylor, the Taylor Administration Building is an office hub for the campus. Right now, it also serves as a student center, offices for the student senate, the main cafeteria, and the Eagles Nest, a snack shop and small student lounge. In its 42,000 square feet are administrative offices, business office, student information, bookstore, financial aid, student counseling, and four large meeting rooms. A new Student Union Building is planned for construction adjacent to the Taylor Building some time in 2002.
