Donated turbine comes down

Three wind turbines that have been in operation between Mountain Home and Boise are being taken down and donated to instructional programs. This means that students in the College of Southern Idaho's new Wind Energy Technician program and Environmental Technology program will have access to actual turbines and towers in the lab area. Press coverage of this event is pending.

One turbine is down on the far left and being cleaned and the second is in the process of being lowered to the ground. Amazingly, these three turbines were installed by one person acting mostly alone.

The turbine and tower sections donated to CSI should arrive sometime in late May.
