The CSI Workforce Development and Training Dept. will be offering “OSHA 10 – General Industry Training” on November 27th 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. running through November 28th 8:00a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The class will meet in the Applied Technology and Innovation Center Room 120 on the CSI campus. Cost of the class is $185 per person. 

To maintain a healthy and safe work environment, OSHA requires employees in various industries participate in workplace safety training. See the benefits of instructor lead training in our 10-hour OSHA safety course that will address specific regulations as they apply to the General Industry and help you meet your workplace training requirements in an interactive setting with peers and your professor.

The OSHA training program for general industry provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace. The program will also provide information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. 

Instructor Janna Hamlett has spent her life working in agriculture. She has BS degree from University of Idaho in Dairy Science with a minor in English, and a Master’s degree from Washington State University in Food Science and Management. She currently works at College of Southern Idaho as the program manager for the Food Processing Technology program. Prior to coming to the College of Southern Idaho, Janna worked in various management positions including, Training Manager, QA Manager and Production Manager at large scale cheese and whey processing facilities in the Magic Valley. She has numerous industry certifications including approved OSHA 10 and 30-hour instructor, PCQI (Preventative Controls Qualified Individual) Instructor, SQF Practitioner and SQF Approved Teaching Center, and an approved HACCP curriculum from International HACCP Alliance.
