International Astronomy Day – Solar Viewing

$1 per person fee to take part in the make-and-take activities.

Join the Centennial Observatory on International Astronomy Day on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 11 AM to 4 PM and then again at night from 9:15 PM till midnight. Admission is FREE to the observatory.

  • 11 AM – 4 PM: Solar viewing, astronomy and space make-and-take projects (There is a small $1 per person fee to take part in the make-and-take activities.)
  • 9:15 PM to midnight: 9:15 PM to midnight: Weather permitting you can observe the Sun through safely filtered telescopes at the Centennial Observatory during the day and at night there will be a free star party from 9:15 PM to midnight.
