Message from the CSI Provost

As a long-time employee of the College of Southern Idaho and alumnus, I’m tremendously proud to represent the College in my role of Provost. I am primarily responsible for the delivery of all instructional programming at CSI in service to the community and student needs in our service region, but I also support the President and the various roles and initiatives of the College in the community, the state, and even the intermountain region.

As a Drafting Technology student many years ago, CSI changed my life and afforded me an excellent and economical first start at my higher education and career. I was struck by the value of the community college mission, not just that of CSI, but of the broader nature of what a true comprehensive community college can mean to the regional economy and prosperity of the citizenry.

I began my career at CSI as an instructor, then department chair, then Dean of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. In 2012 I was hired by the Idaho State Board of Education as the State Administrator of Career and Technical Education. I returned to CSI in my current role in 2014 and in these past years have worked with many amazing and dedicated educators to further the mission of the College and contributions to a thriving Idaho economy. I am incredibly proud of what we have done, are doing, and will continue to do at CSI.
