Program Requirements and Commitment

We’re excited you’re considering joining us and want to help you succeed with Idaho Job Corps.  Here is what you can expect:

30 hours of total weekly participation, which includes:

  • 1 case management meeting per week, where you will meet one-on-one with your case manager
  • Academic requirements, including tutoring and/or studying
  • Fitness and service opportunities, including 2.5 hours of fitness and 3 hours of service learning weekly
  • Work experience, job shadowing, or job placement
  • Job Corps-related appointments
  • Life skills participation, including 1 class weekly

Good academic progress is expected of all Job Corps students, including:

  • Maintaining a C or better in all coursework
  • Completion of all assigned coursework – no missing assignments

In order to be successful in this program, a student must:

  • Participate in activities independently
  • Demonstrate gains in reading and math every 60 days
  • Interact with students and staff in a safe and respectful manner
  • Remain drug-free while in the program

Student Accountability

Student participation is measured weekly, and students will be paid bi-weekly for their quality participation.  When weekly requirements are not met, students will receive a reminder email or text.  If requirements continue to go unmet, students will be placed on an Action Plan.
