Summary

The Refrigeration, Heating, Air Conditioning Program (HVAC) is designed to provide students with skills needed to work on refrigeration and heating systems. This program offers practical application from which to build on in their working career. HVAC/R Technicians install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot. Systems include air conditioning, refrigeration, hot air furnaces, stoves, and appliances. Students earn educational requirements for the State Apprenticeship in one year. You receive employees who have been formally educated and who have received hands-on training with real equipment. All training is based on industry guidelines and the current curriculum. CSI students are introduced to standards from organizations such as ARI, RSES, ACCA, and ASHRAE. Most will be EPA 608 certified before leaving school and HVAC Excellence certifications are offered in (12) related career field choices. All students are exposed to real-life troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.

  • Extras: Program has additional costs to cover books, tools, and shop fees
