'Santa Snork Saves the Seasons' 11/25/2011
Time: 1:00 PM to 1:00 PM

A third Christmas show has been added to the Faulkner Planetarium’s holiday lineup this year – Santa Snork Saves the Seasons.

Sam Snork is the crazy Norkian alien who was introduced in the Faulkner’s ‘Planet Patrol’ several years ago. In this new holiday adventure, Sam relocates to study those odd creatures called humans and their strange world called Earth. On Christmas Eve, Sam wonders about the frozen stuff falling from the sky and about the seasons that produce different weather. Not only that, but why do humans see patterns in the stars and what’s up with that poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas?’

Younger children will enjoy the show’s unique perspective on ourselves, our seasons, and our holiday traditions. The show opens Nov. 25 and will play, along with the Faulkner’s other two holiday programs – Steamrolling Through the Holidays and Season of Light – through Dec. 31. Admission to the Herrett Center for Arts and Science is free. Adult admission to the Faulkner Planetarium is $4.50. Senior admission is $3.50. Students and children over 2 are $2.50.
