| At registration students who are Idaho residents are required to complete a Certificate of Residency and to provide both a legal address and a current address. Students who are Idaho residents but do not reside in Twin Falls or Jerome county pay additional out-of-district fees. The out-of-district portion of the tuition will be paid by the county in which the student is a legal resident as long as the student has an approved Certificate of Residency on file with the county for the year and term in which the student is enrolled. If the student does not complete a Certificate of Residency or if the student’s home county declines to approve the student’s residency, the student will be responsible for paying the out-of-district portion of their tuition. To establish in-district residency, you must live in Jerome or Twin Falls counties for twelve consecutive months before attending college. Neither in-district nor Idaho residency can be obtained while you are a student. Certain exceptions may be granted if you can prove your move to Twin Falls County or Jerome County was for purposes other than educational. Non-Idaho residents pay additional out-of-state tuition fees. Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is a state and college sponsored form of financial assistance which waives all or part of the out-of-state tuition for a limited number of students who are residents of one of the participating states (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming). Students should contact the Financial Aid Office for an out-of-state tuition waiver. |
