LEARNING ASSISTANCE/PEER TUTORING

PEER TUTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
DUTIES:
Peer tutors will work with CSI students in their content areas of expertise. Tutors will work with students on a one-on-one basis or in small group sessions to answer questions on course content, and to aid in comprehension of course material.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Tutors must obtain a signed recommendation from a CSI faculty member in the Department for each subject area they wish to tutor and also have the approval of the Coordinator.
Peer tutor applicants must have an A or B in the classes they wish to tutor.
Tutors need good verbal communication skills and the ability to work with students from varied backgrounds and with varieties of skill levels.
