The CSI Paramedic Program offers many unique educational resources. Among the many resources are:
  • An educationally and clinically experienced faculty
  • A state of the art Simulation Lab
  • A fully functional training ambulance
  • New classrooms with overhead projection, high speed internet connections and high fidelity sound systems
  • A new lab including multiple basic and advanced life support manikins, a Zoll M-series 12-Lead cardiac monitor/defibrillator/pacemaker, a Laerdal Heart SIM 4000 computerized EKG manikin which simulates over 2,500 different EKG rhythms; a vast collection of videos, computer programs, and online learning modules
  • The college library which catalogs a large number of EMS textbooks and monthly journal publications
  • Human cadavers for Anatomy and Physiology
  • An extensive offering of clinical and internship sites
  • Financial Aid and Scholarships for qualifing students

The program is approved by the Idaho Bureau of EMS and has just been notified of initial approval of  prestigious National Accreditation by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions!    CoAEMSP Accreditation Page    Accreditation is also expected by CAAHEP in November.  The College of Southern Idaho is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges, a national accrediation body.

The program has also just received a human patient simulator that will allow students the ultimate learning opportunity to perfect life saving skills and critical decision making without risk to live patients.
