Parents

Welcome to the College of Southern Idaho! For students with disabilities, transitioning from high school to college means new challenges. When entering college, your student is considered an adult, and s/he is therefore expected to assume full responsibility for obtaining accommodations and meeting course requirements.

When students with disabilities are in high school, it is often the parents who make sure that appropriate accommodations are in place. In college, it is the student who takes the initiative to make sure that specific needs are being met. Your student decides on everything from getting to class on time to completing homework.

At Student Accessibility Services, we provide access and facilitate independence. We hope our website will help you better understand our mission and your student's role and responsibilities while attending the College of Southern Idaho.
