Sometimes class schedules don’t work with your schedule, that’s why we offer night and weekend classes as well as our popular Flex Start classes. To find out if these classes fit your schedule, browse the section that fits you best by following these links.
Flex Start courses offer students the ability to complete courses face-to-face, hybrid, or online in an 8 or 12-week semester beginning after the normal semester start date. These schedules offer non-traditional start times to better meet the needs of busy students who need to complete general education coursework.
New seats are routinely added to Flex Start courses based on student interest. Please check back often for additional availability on full courses or add yourself to the waitlist to be moved into the course when new seats become available.
Each semester (fall and spring) the College of Southern Idaho offers general education courses in the evening to meet the needs of students who prefer to take classes later in the day.
Students can expect at least one course in each general education area: institutionally designated courses (GNED, WELL), Mathematical Ways of Knowing, Artistic and Humanistic Ways of Knowing, Scientific Ways of Knowing, Social and Behavioral Ways of Knowing, Written Communication Integrative Skills, and Oral Communication Integrative Skills.
Many classes are offered either online or in in a hybrid online/in-person format. You will recive the same high quality of education and will be held to the same standard as traditional in-person classes -- but with the flexiblity and convenience of online learning.
