Jody is a Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor in CSI’s Allied Health Department, and for the past few years she’s been helping future healthcare professionals gain confidence, skills, and a heart for patient care.
Her passion for helping others led her into nursing early on. She earned her AA from Lassen College, became an LPN through CSI, and later completed IV Therapy training through Boise State along with LPN Management training at CSI. With 28 years of experience in geriatric care, she brings a wealth of real-world knowledge to her teaching.
At CSI, Jody teaches in the Certified Nursing Assistant Program, working closely with students in both the classroom and clinical settings. She loves watching students grow, overcome challenges, and build the skills they’ll use throughout their careers. She also works hard to support students outside of class—through extra sessions, emails, and one-on-one guidance during clinicals.
Recently, she teamed up with the CNA Program to update course materials and streamline clinical scheduling, making the program even more efficient and student-focused.
Outside of work, Jody enjoys spending time with family and friends. Even while pursuing her Registered Nursing degree part-time, she still finds time for the people she loves. And a fun fact? She’s a hands-on fixer; she loves renovation and mechanical projects.
Her advice for future Golden Eagles: stay organized, ask questions, and use the resources available to you. Most of all—believe in yourself.
