Sarah, assistant professor, has been part of the CSI Nursing program since August 2021, teaching in both the Registered Nursing and Practical Nursing programs.
Her path into nursing started while working as a CNA, where she saw how meaningful small acts of kindness can be in patient care. As a CSI alumna, she returned to teach to help create that same supportive experience for future nurses.
Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of Idaho, is a graduate of CSI’s nursing program, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University. She is currently working toward her doctoral degree.
She’s passionate about helping students realize what they’re capable of, especially through the challenges of nursing school. She also recently helped launch a leadership and transition-to-practice workshop to prepare students for entering the field.
Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, rockhounding, and watching court trials. Fun fact, she’s a big fan of The Cranberries.
Her advice to students: be patient with yourself, trust the process, and keep going. You belong here.
