Tiffani Mitchell is an RN Instructor in the Registered Nursing program at the College of Southern Idaho. She has been with CSI for three semesters full-time after previously teaching one semester as an adjunct.

Her professional background includes experience as a Registered Nurse in PACU, Emergency, and on the surgical floor. Prior to becoming an RN, she worked as a paramedic. She is currently completing her Master of Science in Nursing in Education and plans to finish this fall.

Tiffani teaches within the RN program, working with students as they build foundational nursing knowledge and clinical skills. She values the smaller class sizes at CSI, which allow for strong mentorship and meaningful connection with students throughout their two-year journey.

She emphasizes that nursing is not easy. It requires dedication, resilience, and hard work, and it looks very different from what is portrayed on television. However, she believes the profession is deeply rewarding and worth the effort. One of her favorite moments each year is watching students begin the program shy and uncertain, then walk across the stage at pinning as confident, compassionate nursing graduates ready to start their careers.

Outside of teaching, Tiffani is a devoted baseball fan who travels across the country from March through October to watch the Atlanta Braves play. She is also a mom of three, a former gymnast, and enjoys crafting and designing in her free time.
