HSHS Scholarships

Health Science Human Services Student Scholarship

HSHS scholarships are academic scholarship awards available to students enrolled in HSHS programs. Including:

  • Central Sterile Processing
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (credit courses only)
  • Dental Assisting
  • Dental Hygiene
  • EMT
  • Fire Science
  • Paramedic
  • Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Practical Nursing
  • Medical Assisting
  • Registered Nursing
  • Radiologic Technology
  • Surgical Technology

These scholarships are funded by several different endowments and donations from generous individuals in the community who wanted to award students pursuing education in the Health Sciences. They may not show up in your financial awards as HSHS Scholarships but rather by the donor's name.

Exeter Family Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a first or second year Registered Nursing student at the College of Southern Idaho. The application window for the Exeter Scholarship is now closed.

Penny Glenn Magic Valley Medical Assistant Chapter Scholarship

Current Management of Gift

The Magic Medical Assistant Chapter is establishing a restricted scholarship account in honor of Penny Glenn to support students at the College of Southern Idaho.  Two $250.00 scholarships will be awarded for the second semester of the current school year. 

Distribution Guidelines

The purpose of this fund is to provide financial support for students at the College of Southern Idaho

  • Recipients must be an active member of the Magic Valley Medical Assistant Chapter, Twin Falls, Idaho. "Active" is defined by recipient having paid AAMA membership dues by December 31st and attending at least two meetings from the months of August to December for the current school year.
  • Applicants must have successfully completed at least one semester of course work in the Medical Assistant program at the College of Southern Idaho.
  • Applicants must present a short (5-10 minute) presentation to the membership of the Magic Valley Medical Chapter during their December meeting. The presentation should include a brief outline of the applicant's educational and professional goals, along with a desire to maintain membership in the Magic Valley Medical Assisting Chapter, Twin Falls, Idaho.
  • Recipients will be chosen by the Magic Valley Medical Assistant Chapter, Twin Falls, Idaho.
