Power Outage

The College of Southern Idaho, in conjunction with Idaho Power, will be updating CSI Twin Falls campus electrical power grid Wednesday, November 22nd. The project will begin at 8 a.m. and tentatively finish by 4 p.m, but anticipate as late as 8 p.m. During this time, power will be turned off for the following buildings: the Desert Building, the Evergreen Building, Gym-Rec Center, the Meyerhoeffer building, the Fine Arts Center, the Heat Plant, the Taylor & Student Union Building, the Autobody and Automotive sections in the Canyon Building, and the Tower. The Taylor Cafeteria will also be impacted by the outage.

From approximately 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. that day, portions of MyCSI and CSI Connect (JICS), NetPartner.csi.edu, the library database services, remote access to individual workstations, Jenzabar, PowerFAIDS, OnBASE and Maxient will be impacted as well. Please make sure to power down workstations by the end of business at 5:30 pm Tuesday, November 21st.

While the campus will already be closed and students, staff, and faculty will not be on campus, keep in mind the network, phones and internet will be down. If you need to contact Campus Safety while the phones are down, they can be reached out at (208) 358 – 0733. Also consider cleaning out any freezers and refrigerators in those buildings of food that may spoil in that time.
