CSI FAULKNER PLANETARIUM WELCOMES NEW SHOW

Monday 2026-11-02

TWIN FALLS, IDAHO - The College of Southern Idaho’s Faulkner Planetarium is excited to be a participant in screening a new giant screen film, America the Beautiful, celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Opening nationwide this Veterans Day, the Faulkner Planetarium is the only theater in Idaho where audiences can experience the film.

America the Beautiful is a sweeping giant screen experience celebrating the vast and varied natural worlds that define the United States and the conservation movement that has ensured their survival. The protection of America’s beauty, wonder and resources was set in motion by Theodore Roosevelt and other pioneers who popularized principles still in practice today, passed down through generations, that will keep America’s wild heart beating for many more.

Audiences will embark on an awe-inspiring journey from sea to shining sea, across the country’s most iconic and diverse environments - soaring mountain ranges, expansive plains, surprising deserts, flowing rivers and wetlands - captured with the scale, clarity, and immersion of spectacular giant screen cinematography. More than a visual spectacle, America the Beautiful reveals that these places were not preserved by chance, but through bold vision, determination, and an enduring commitment to conservation that continues to shape the nation’s natural legacy.

Narrated by Emmy-winning actor, producer, and director Kelsey Grammer, America the Beautiful opens Wednesday, November 11 in the planetarium. Opening day show times are 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 6:00, 7:00, & 8:00 PM. Veterans will be admitted FREE to any one of the seven opening day screenings. Beyond opening day, the film will be screened on Tuesday and Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons and evenings through November, and then on a yet to be determined schedule in December and beyond.

Admission to planetarium shows is $7.50 adults, $6.50 seniors (60+), and $5.50 children (2-17). Children under the age of 2 are admitted free.

Located at the northeast corner of the College of Southern Idaho’s main campus in Twin Falls, the Faulkner Planetarium is Idaho’s premiere domed giant screen theater. The planetarium, located in the Herrett Center for Arts and Science, seats 144 guests.
