The CSI Foundation has awarded their 2026 Mini Grant Recipients

TWIN FALLS, ID – The CSI Foundation has awarded $23,430 in Mini Grants. The 26–27 Mini Grant recipients include:

  • Heidi Adams, Chemistry Department — $3,000 for a classroom set of thermal (infrared) cameras and tablets for CHEM 101.
  • Janelle Sexton, Workforce Apprenticeship Program — $500 to host an apprenticeship skill competition and recognition event.
  • Kara McCurdy, Center for New Directions — $2,000 for diapers, wipes, and infant necessities for the diaper closet.
  • Jerry Fattig, Information Technology — $3,000 to pilot a new video conferencing system.
  • Jayme Peck, Workforce Healthcare Sector — $3,000 for infant CPR manikins.
  • Justin Nukaya, Admissions — $2,500 for iPads to enhance Instant Enrollment Events and Admissions Tours.
  • Shannon Hyde, Accessibility Services — $1,700 for a graphics machine and thermal expansion paper to create tactile maps and graphics.
  • Serena Jenkins Clark, Arts and Humanities — $1,200 to bring a music collaboration consultant to campus for a mini conference.
  • Ryan Molsee, Workforce Development and Training — $2,500 for tables and fixtures for a newly launched small engine repair training course.
  • Julio Castaneda, Biology Department — $1,030 for lab materials to enhance the student experience.
  • Jessica Williams, Fine Arts — $3,000 to improve and update green room furnishings and cabinets.

Grant recipient Jerry Fattig, Client Experience & Solutions Manager in the Information Technology Department, expressed appreciation for the support provided through the program. “I am sincerely grateful for your support of my project. This funding will make a meaningful difference and will help enhance the learning experience for our students. I appreciate the time and consideration the committee dedicated to reviewing applications and supporting initiatives that contribute to student success,” said Fattig.
