Program Overview

The Welding program is designed to develop the necessary mental and manipulative skills required for successful entry into the welding industry. It involves all the modern welding applications using the latest equipment. Students are trained to be employable with entry-level skills. This is a limited enrollment program. Applying to the Welding program is a separate application process form applying to the college or declaring your major.

Program Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Welding program, a student will be able to:

  1. Apply problem solving and decision-making skills to overcome obstacles to completing objectives.
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in technical student learning outcomes.
  3. Articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively through speaking and writing.
  4. Prioritize work assignments and use time management skills effectively.
  5. Identify the appropriate equipment and materials used in each project.
  6. Demonstrate the skill and knowledge needed to obtain welding qualifications in all taught processes.
  7. Analyze and interpret prints, drawings, and symbols for welding and fabrication of parts, structures and systems.
