English Language Acquisition (ELA/ESL)

ELA classes can help non-native English speakers improve their English Language skills through

  • Speaking
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Listening

 All classes are free of charge.  Classroom and homework materials are provided.

Getting Started

  1. Schedule an Orientation to find out what to expect from the program and what the program expects of students.*
  2. After completing an Orientation, schedule a skills assessment test – CASAS Reading Goals or CASAS Life & Work
  3. Meet with program staff to develop an individualized schedule that meets students needs

*Youth ages 16 and 17 must bring a parent or legal guardian to Orientation. Additional paperwork is required.  A signed waiver must be submitted to CCR prior to orientation or registration.
