At the College of Southern Idaho, we believe access to technology is a critical enabler to student success. That's why the Office of Information Technology has invested millions of dollars in world-class technologies designed to help students achieve their academic goals. In addition to the many technology services we offer students on campus, actively enrolled students are provided access to free software for the duration of their enrollment. The software we provide to students (above and beyond what is already provided for course instruction) is valued at more than $2,000 per student.
A few examples of technology we provide students for free personal use include 5 terabytes of secure online storage, free access to the entire suite of Microsoft Office Pro Plus for use on up to 5 smartphones, 5 desktops, and 5 tablet devices, free access to the licensed features of Microsoft Teams which includes secure chat, file sharing, social engagement, and voice and video conferencing from any device, and free access to premium cybersecurity defenses that help protect student accounts from malicious attacks and unauthorized access to their student information.
We also provide a limited supply of loaner laptop devices available for check-out to students who do not have personal access to a computer at home.
We are grateful to have such strong community partnerships across the state of Idaho and throughout our 8-county region who help make it possible for us to provide these technologies to our students.
