FAQ

Q: I’m expecting a package that I think was delivered to the mail room, but I haven’t received it yet. How can I find it?

A: The easiest way to track down a package is to contact us and provide the tracking number. This number will enable us to confirm that we received the package, and also determine where it is on campus.

If you don’t have a tracking number, give us all of the information you do have about the package (when it arrived, who sent it, etc.) and we will see what we can do. Sometimes packages arrive without a recipient listed, so it can take us time to track down where these packages go.

Q: I have an email notification that my package was delivered. How come it hasn’t arrived on campus yet?

A: For packages sent through USPS, a delivery notification indicates that the package has been delivered to CSI’s PO Box at the post office. Mail is picked up from the post office once a day, first thing in the morning. If your package is delivered to the box after that, we won’t actually see it on campus until the next day.

Packages from other carriers are occasionally marked as delivered before they actually arrive on campus, due to delivery drivers marking their deliveries prematurely. You can contact us to find out whether the package has arrived at the mail room.

Q: Does the mail room sell stamps?

A: We do not sell postage stamps. However, if you bring us a piece of mail, we can print postage on it for you and charge you on the spot (card payments only).

Q: Can I send and receive personal mail/packages through the CSI mail room?

A: Yes, CSI employees and students can send and receive personal mail at the mail room. See the “services” section for a complete list of shipping services we offer. If you are expecting a delivery, and you are not a full time employee or dorm student, please call us ahead of time to let us know. If we don’t recognize your name, we may have trouble getting your delivery to you.

Q: I’m going to be moving to a new office location. How can I make sure my mail goes to the correct location?

A: Contact us as soon as you find out you’re moving, and provide us with your new location as well as the date you will be moving.
