Program Overview

This program is designed to prepare students for employment in the diverse world of software development and computer security. Students will learn the basics of software development and participate in software development projects. Students will also learn the basics of how to secure an organization’s computer systems, and be exposed to both defensive and offensive security techniques. Students will complete a Technical Skills Assessment to demonstrate program competency.

Admission Requirements

There are specific requirements for enrollment in our career technical programs.  Students should be familiar with demands of a particular occupation and how that occupation matches with their individual career interests and goals. The specific requirements are established by the technical program.  A student who does not meet the established requirements for entrance into a program will have an opportunity to participate in the appropriate level courses to improve their skills for program consideration.  The program requirements and admission procedures can be obtained by contacting the program advisor.
