What is Takeout? | CSI - College of Southern Idaho

Teaching & Learning Takeout is offered just once monthly, for thirty minutes via Zoom to meet the following outcomes:

Communicate and where needed, demonstrate recent updates to Canvas. Where possible, we also aim to make connections between Canvas functionality and best practices in learning design.
Build connections with and between faculty. These sessions are intentionally consistent, casual, and informational, resulting in clear takeaway points.
Meet needs by helping our instructors to feel heard. These sessions are important opportunities for CSI learning designers to recognize ongoing needs TLC can help with through consultations, training, and other resources.

Depending upon the number of new Canvas releases available to communicate in a given month, we'd like to use this time to answer your questions and meet your needs. Chances are, if you have a question, other instructors are wondering about something similar!

How Do I Join?

Watch for monthly email outreach from the Teaching & Learning Center. We'll let you know what's on the menu, and how to access the Zoom link for that month's Takeout Zoom session.

Can I Watch a Recording?

Like fast food, Takeout is best served hot, or live. We do understand that a takeaway resource can be helpful, however. Located here soon will be a list of resources from previous Takeout sessions. Recordings of the Zoom sessions may be available upon request; please email tlc@csi.edu.
