The College of Southern Idaho Early Childhood Education Learning Center is designed to support the developmental needs of young children, ages twelve months through five years. More than just childcare, our center provides meaningful experiences that enrich each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creative growth.
Through a thoughtfully planned daily schedule, children have opportunities to create, explore, practice problem-solving, build social skills, and learn through hands-on experiences. We do not expect children to perform beyond their abilities or “hurry” through skill development. Instead, we foster learning at each child’s natural pace, helping them build confidence and a positive self-concept through a balance of teacher-guided and self-directed activities.
Our staff serve as positive role models and provide care that is nurturing, warm, and responsive to the unique needs of every child. We deeply value families as children’s first and most important teachers, and we view parents as partners in the educational process.
The on-campus Learning Center is state-licensed and NAEYC Accredited, serving up to 53 children. All teachers hold degrees in Early Childhood Education, complete ongoing training, and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification. Nutritious meals are provided daily at no additional cost.
We are located at 1112 Frontier Road (Parkway, between the CSI Baseball Field and the Expo Center).
