The Early College Department at the College of Southern Idaho is committed to helping students achieve their goals and be successful in their educational pursuits. Early College aims to reach and serve two main groups of students; transition students and dual credit students. Supporting transition students focuses on assisting high school students with defining their education and career aspirations while providing resources for the transition process from high school to college, or to whatever endeavors they choose to pursue.
On the dual credit side, dual credit coursework enables students to make progress towards a college degree before they finish high school and save on the overall cost of a college education. Dual Credit at CSI continues to grow with over 6,000 students earning dual credits in the 2019-2020 academic year. With that growth, the Early College team is dedicated to ensuring students have access to the help and resources they need at all of the 60+ high schools we partner with. Idaho is helping to lead the way in dual enrollment, ranking in the top five states in the nation for dual credit participation!
