Original announcement

The College of Southern Idaho, in conjunction with Idaho Power, will be updating the CSI Twin Falls campus electrical power grid on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. The project will begin at 8 a.m. and tentatively finish by 4 p.m, but could go as late as 8 p.m. Phones, Internet, and other technology services will be offline from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Individuals should not enter any campus buildings without express approval from Campus Safety or Physical Plant management.

While the campus will already be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, and students, staff, and faculty will not be on campus, please note that the network, phones and Internet will be down. If you need to contact Campus Safety while the phones are down, they can be reached at (208) 358 – 0733.

Employees are asked to power down their workstations and classroom/lab computers by the end of business at 5:30 pm Tuesday, November 21.

Employees are also asked to clean out any freezers and refrigerators in the list of impacted buildings below to keep food from spoiling during the power outage.

  • Evergreen
  • Gym / Rec Center
  • Meyerhoeffer (Library)
  • Fine Arts Center
  • Heat Plant

  • Phones
  • Campus Internet connection

As a result of these service disruptions, students will not be able to apply to CSI, register for courses, or check their financial aid status, among other tasks, during this time.

Technology services that should not be impacted include:

  • Office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc)
