The Computer Support Technician Program is a one-year Intermediate Technical Certificate intended for those interested in working as an IT professional. Coursework prepares students to work in IT at an entry level. 
  1. Apply to CSI and become a Golden Eagle: Fill out the free online form to Apply to CSI, then watch your email for your acceptance letter and instructions to get set up as a new student. 

  2. Prepare for Registration: Make an appointment with an Enrollment Specialist to declare your major and get registration clearance.
  3. This program starts in the fall semester. Although there are a few classes students can take online, most of the coursework is in-person with a classroom setting.

  4. Prior Certification: Students who have a current CompTIA A+ certification can purchase the credits for CISS 107-Computer Essentials and CISS 110 & Lab-Troubleshooting the PC.

  5. Keep Learning!: The Computer Support Technician certificate completes the first year of courses for the Network Systems Technician Associate of Applied Science degree.

Post-Acceptance Steps

Once you have been accepted into the Computer Support Technician program, you need to meet regularly with an academic advisor. Regular meetings with your advisor are essential to staying on track for graduation. Advisors help students select appropriate courses, understand program requirements, and plan a sequence that aligns with their goals and timelines.
