CSI Community Education Releases Summer Schedule

TWIN FALLS – Registration is now open for the College of Southern Idaho’s (CSI) MusicFest and Theater Camps. These annual camps offer an opportunity for students throughout the region to interact with other youth and learn from professionals in the field.
“MusicFest has been a long-standing offering for our community,” said Camp Co-Director Serena Jenkins Clark. “We see students attending the same camp that their parents participated in when they were younger, and it’s great to see that love of music passed down from one generation to the next.”
Students of all musical interests are welcome to MusicFest. The weeklong camp runs from 9 am through 5 pm daily and offers focused areas of study in strings, piano, vocal, band and jazz. Private lesson options and a range of additional electives are also offered to round out the camp experience.
Another unique opportunity for area youth is CSI Theater Camp. This year, the camps are separated into three categories, starting with Kids Camp for ages 6-7, Junior Camp for ages 8-9 and Youth Camp for ages 10-18. Each camp is staffed by talented theater professionals who aim to expand students’ skills and knowledge of the theater world in a fun and immersive environment.
“Our camps are a great way for students to learn all about theater, both onstage and behind the scenes. We cover everything from acting and musical theater to design and costuming,” CSI Arts & Humanities Department Chair Shane Brown stated. “These camps are something our instructors look forward to all year, and we are excited to welcome new and familiar faces this summer.”
Both MusicFest and Theater Camp are held on the CSI campus in the Fine Arts Building located at 315 Falls Avenue in Twin Falls. Information on the camps is as follows:
